Harry Potter Funko Pop NFT drops on January 23,

After burning over half the NFTs with characters from Squid Game, the legendary company turned its attention to a collection of movies that has been a favorite of millions of people around the world for decades.

The official Funko site invites collectors to take part in the WAX NFT Drop scheduled for the 23rd of January. Drop begins at 11AM PT.

The Harry Potter Funko Pop NFT premium packs, which are now priced at $29.99 and contain 17 items, instead of 15, have the same contents as the Squid Game Funko NFT drops. The Standard Packs are priced at $9.99 and still contain five NFTs.

It is interesting to note that unlike other Funko NFT collection, such as the Squid Game Series with its 42,000 packs of Funko Pop NFT, this Harry Potter Funko Pop NFT will expand. Funko decided this time to offer 31,250 Standard packs and an equivalent number of Premium packs, for a total of 62,500. The recent decline in popularity of Funko NFT Collections has led to this unexpected decision.

The Squid Game Funko NFT dropped was not well received by the collecting community, despite Netflix’s global popularity. Unsold collectibles are estimated to be 53%. This is the highest burn rate in Droppp or Funko NFT history.

Unfortunately, this decline is part of a wider trend. Pop in Stock reported only that two of the eight releases since the Squid Games NFT dropped had sold out. The problems extend beyond the Squid Game Collection, and affects various releases such as Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. Also, Steven Universe and The Powerpuff Girls.

Collectors attribute poor sales of Funko Pop NFT to problems with the shipping of physical figurines, and insufficient refunds when these issues occur. Community members also cited the timing of Squid Game Funko NFT Pop’s release as a possible factor affecting its success.

All Funko Pop NFTs feature the physical figurines listed above. They each had a specially designed physical collectible that could be obtained by collecting the Royalty, Legendary, and Grail Sets of NFTs.

Harry Potter NFTs have seven collectibles in the Harry Potter series, compared to the five Squid Game Funko NFTs.

Droppp claims that the most popular physical figurine is Freddy Funko in Death Eater. Toys R Us plans to produce 3,000 of these figurines. There will also be five Legendary figurines, which include Viktor Krum, Hungarianhorntail, Fleur delacour, Hungarian Horntail and Cedric diggory, all with bubble-head air masks. Each collectible will have 2,200 pieces.

Only 999 Grail Harry Potter items are available.

Funko had originally planned to release a physical series of figurines. It reserves the right, however, to alter the products.

This collection’s redemption window is set for May 22nd, 2024 at 11AM PT. After a snapshot is taken of your collection, you’ll receive a Redemption Token that can be exchanged for your physical NFTs in 30 days if eligible. The redemption period will close on June 21, 2020, 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
