Affirmations are simply positive statements about ourselves, our wants and desires that we repeat to program our mind for success. By repeating affirmations, we can change the way we think and feel about ourselves–ultimately increasing our confidence. People all over the globe use affirmations every day to manifest their dreams and goals, and you can too!

Why are affirmations so powerful? 

The mind is a very powerful tool–if we believe something to be true, our mind will work tirelessly to make it happen. This is what’s known as the Law of Attraction. So, if we want to attract confidence into our lives, we need to start with affirmations that build us up, rather than tear us down.

How do I write my own affirmations for confidence? 

There are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind when writing your affirmations:

-Keep them short, sweet and simple. The shorter the better–this way they’re easy to remember and repeat.

-Make them specific to you and your goals. The more personal the affirmations, the more powerful they’ll be.

-Write them in the present tense. This tells your mind that what you’re affirming is already true. For example, “I am confident” rather than “I will be confident.”

-Focus on how you want to feel, rather than what you want to achieve. When we focus on how we want to feel, our minds are more likely to create experiences that match those emotions.

You can take a magazine and cut out images that resonate with you, or look for affirmations and quotes online.

You can also affirm yourself throughout the day by speaking kindly to yourself–be your own best cheerleader! This might sound cheesy, but it works. The more we speak kindly and lovingly to ourselves, the more our confidence will grow–it’s that simple.

When we increase our confidence, we open up a world of possibilities and opportunities. We become more likely to take risks, put ourselves out there and go after our dreams.
